My kids....

   I was sitting doing paperwork this week, when my six year old walks up and asks if I am working on adoption paperwork ( this is a very common thing for me to be doing LOL) I told him that I was not, it was other business I was taking care of.  His reply? " Well, you should be doing her adoption papers, so we can get some days closer to getting her." I had to smile.  The number one negative response we get from others regarding our call to the orphan is how it is going to affect the kids we already have in our home in a negative way. I wish they could spend one day in my home. This is our way of life... Ministry to the orphans is not about me and my husband, it is about all of us.  When a child's paperwork has a problem, it is our whole family who gathers in a circle in the living room and prays on their behalf for a safe and quick journey into the US and into our arms.  My twelve year old son recently said, " 2012 was awesome, all the miracles we saw with YiXis adoption, and I am so excited to see the ways God is going to use our family in 2013! This year will be even more incredible than last! " I love his faith.  I love all of their faith.  They know of God's love for the fatherless, their hearts are broken for the orphan, and they WANT to share their home.  Their faith and compassion blesses me.
